Love Chocolate Charity Sale 2025/25

Seven-year-old Jade (a pseudonym) has lived in a foster home since she was two years old due to her mother’s drug abuse. In addition to having a pair of older foster sisters around her age, she has received a heartfelt love.

Jade faces additional challenges in her growth due to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and limited intelligence. When she first arrived at her foster parent, Mrs. Choi's home, her emotions were like a storm, often causing trouble at Mrs. Choi’s house and crying in public places. Mrs. Choi, who had no prior experience caring for children with special educational needs (SEN), remained unfazed by the looks of others. She approached Jade’s needs with empathy, providing support for her growth in a warm and loving environment. Jade was Mrs.Choi’s first foster child, who taught her to humbly learn to nurture SEN children. In addition to providing extra learning support, she arranged for Jade to attend a special school and receive speech therapy, while also focusing on developing her self-care skills in daily routines. Mrs. Choi treasures the uniqueness of each child, once she discovered Jade‘s strengths and interests, she arranged various activities like drama classes and craft workshops, allowing her to enjoy learning and develop focus while doing what she loves, shining her light.

Mrs. Choi’s unconditional acceptance and tolerance not only stabilized Jade’s behavior and emotions but also touched her family. Now, Jade regularly returns home for vacations, and once her family situation improves further, she can reunite with them.
