Little Sponsor Orson spread love through handicraft cake
After several years of pandemic, children missed the opportunities to go out and socialize with people. One day Mrs. Yip saw a handicraft fair for children and wanted to give her 7-year-old son Orson a chance to meet strangers and widen his exposure.
The market is free from rental fees, but half of the turnover must be donated to charitable organizations. Since then, Orson started to learn about charitable organizations and realized that many people need help. Learning some children lost families during wars and had grown up in challenging situations, he even took the initiative to donate the other half of the turnover. Mr and Mrs. Yip are grateful for Orson’s kindness.
Through organizing "Happy Sunshine", Orson was allowed to use his strength to make positive impact on society by selling his handicraft cake to fundraise for St. Christopher’s Home at the handicraft fair.
Through "Happy Sunshine", Orson, a little sponsor has raised funds for the Home, helping children in Hong Kong grow up in a caring environment.
